KAREN LANDRIGAN DESIGNS PATHFINDER AWARD TO BE PRESENTED TO JUDGE JUDY.
The Honorable Judith Sheindlin, Judge Judy to her 10 million viewers, is the recipient of the 2016 Texas Women Lawyers’ Pathfinder Award and will receive a sculpture designed, created and fabricated by Houston Artist Karen Landrigan. Landrigan known for her powerful and emotional acrylic paintings is also an accomplished metalsmith and has designed the Pathfinder award sculpture since 2013.
Each year, the TWL recognizes a Pathfinder—an individual who has championed the advancement of women in the law—and Judge Sheindlin is the 2016 honoree. Sheindlin is a testament to professionalism while presiding over daytime television’s highest rated program. ‘Judge Judy’ celebrates 20 years on air this season.
Newfoundland born Landrigan lives and creates her art in Houston, Texas. Landrigan is an internationally recognized artist and an elected member of the Society of Canadian Artists. When asked about designing the award, Landrigan said “I’m thrilled to have my work chosen and I would love to hear What Judge Judy Would Say about my sculpture. She is an inspiring woman.”
