HOUSTON ARTIST KAREN LANDRIGAN HAS TWO WORKS SELECTED BY PRESTIGIOUS SOCIETY OF CANADIAN ARTISTS.
Three years ago Karen Landrigan was fighting for her fifty year old life. Still recovering from a serious stroke, today she is an internet sensation and one of the new darlings of the international arts community.
Landrigan was informed recently that ‘two’ of her paintings will be featured in the Society of Canadian Artists (SCA), Open National Online Juried Exhibition for 2016. This is no small honor. Landrigan’s paintings were selected from works supplied from 198 artists who submitted 530 images. Selection is via a jury process and to have two paintings chosen is considered exceptional.
Landrigan said “ I am excited, honored, I’m tickled pink to be a part of this exhibition. The SCA represents some of the finest talent and I am thrilled to have my work recognized.
Landrigan’s paintings titled “Standing” and “Breathing” from her series I Have Something to Say, will be displayed online on the Society of Canadian Artists website from March 15 to July 15, 2016.
