Houston artist Karen Landrigan has done it again.
Selected by jury as one the top three winners of The International Gallery of the Arts (IGOA), Painter’s Art Contest, Landrigan beat out 198 entries from 12 countries including United States, Canada, Indonesia, Serbia, Taiwan, India, Italy, Japan, Israel, United Kingdom, China, Germany, to emerge as one of the favorites of the competition. Her interview and artwork will be featured in the November issue of “Exquisite Arts Magazine” this month.
The IGOA is an online based gallery dedicated to promoting emerging and established artists. As an organization the IGOA is dedicated to assisting emerging talent by exposing artists to an international audience.
Landrigan has won numerous awards since devoting herself to painting full time two years ago. She is known for her powerful and emotional acrylic paintings and whimsical drawings – and when time permits she designs and creates handmade sterling silver jewelry.
Newfoundland born, Landrigan lives and creates her art in Houston, Texas. Landrigan is a designer, innovator, metalsmith and painter with 25 years of experience. Regarding her winning entry, Landrigan stated “I am thrilled. It is a joy to recognized at this level and by professionals in the international art world. Art is to be shared but so is happiness. To all those who have supported my work, I’m thinking of you right now.”
